Can we create a flawless winning strategy in a Casino using Data Science?
Otherwise, all the data scientists out there would be sitting on piles of cash and the casinos would shut us out!
But, in this article we will learn how to evaluate if a game in Casino is biased or fair.
We will understand the biases working in a casino and create strategies to become profitable.
We will also learn how can we control the probability of going bankrupt in Casinos.
To make the article interactive, I have added few puzzles in the end to use these strategies.
If you can crack them there is no strategy that can make you hedge against loosing in a Casino.
If your answer for second question is more than half of question one, then you fall in same basket as most of the players going to a Casino and you make them profitable!
Hence, the expected losses of a trade in Casino is almost equal to zero.
Why do our chances of gaining 100% or more are less than 50% but our chances of article source 100% is a lot more than 50%.
My recent experience with BlackJack Last week, I went to Atlantic City — the casino hub of US east coast.
BlackJack has always been my favorite game because of a lot of misconceptions.
For the starters, let me take you through how BlackJack is played.
There are few important things to note about BlackJack.
Player tries to maximize his score without being burst.
There are a few more complicated concepts like insurance and split, which is beyond the scope of this article.
So, we will keep things simple.
I was excited about c blackjack game tutorials the winning I was about to get!!
I will try not to talk a lot in that language.
So if you are scared of probabilities you are fine.
No knowledge of R is required to understand the output.
What to expect in this article?
Here are the questions, I will try to answer in this article.
Is it more than 50% as I thought, or was I terribly wrong?
I can certainly use that when I go to Casino the next time.
What would you do?
By now, you will know that your cards are really poor but do you take another card and expose yourself to the risk of getting burst OR you will take the chance to stay and let the dealer get burst.
Simulation 1 Let us try to calculate the probability of the dealer getting burst.
This function will take input as the initial hand and draw a new card.
There are 6 possible outcomes for the dealers - getting a hard 17, 18,19, 20, 21 or getting burst.
Here is the probability distribution given for the first card of the dealer.
The probability of the dealer getting burst is 39.
This means you will loose 60% of times — Is that a good strategy?
With this additional information, we can make refinement to the probability of winning given our 2 cards and dealers 1 card.
Define the set for player's first 2+ sure card sum.
It can be between 12-21.
If the sum was less than 12, player will continuously take more cards till he is in this range.
And if the dealer does not have the same, the Player is definite to win.
The probability of winning for the player sum 12-16 should ideally be equal to the probability of dealer going burst.
Dealer will have to open a new card if it has a sum between 12-16.
This is actually the case which validates that our two simulations are consistent.
To decide whether it check this out worth opening another card, calls into question what will be the probability to win if player decides to take another card.
Insight 2 — If your sum is more than 17 and dealer gets a card 2-6, odds of winning is in your favor.
This is even without including Ties.
Simulation 3 In this simulation the only change from simulation 2 is that, player will pick one additional card.
Favorable probability table if you choose to draw a card is as follows.
So what did you learn from here.
Is it beneficial to draw a card at 8 + 6 or stay?
Favorable probability without drawing a card at 8 + 6 and dealer has 4 ~ 40% Favorable probability with drawing a card at 8 + 6 and dealer has 4 ~ 43.
Here is the difference of %Favorable events for each of the combination that can help you design a strategy.
Cells highlighted in green are where you need to pick a new card.
Cells highlighted in pink are all stays.
Cells not highlighted are where player can make a random choice, difference in probabilities is indifferent.
Our win rate is far lower than the loss rate of the game.
It would have been much better if we just tossed a coin.
The biggest difference is that the dealer wins if both the player and the dealer gets c blackjack game tutorials />Insight 3 — Even with the best strategy, a player wins 41% times as against dealer who wins 49% times.
The difference is driven by the tie breaker when both player and dealer goes burst.
This is consistent with our burst table, which shows that probability of the dealer getting burst is 28.
Hence, both the player and the dealer getting burst will be 28.
Deep dive into betting strategy Now we know what is the right gaming strategy, however, even the best gaming strategy can lead you to about 41% wins and 9% ties, leaving you to a big proportion of losses.
Is there a betting strategy that can come to rescue us from this puzzle?
The probability of winning in blackjack is known now.
We know that the strategy that works in a coin toss event will also work in black jack.
However, coin toss event is significantly less computationally intensive.
What got me to thinking was that even though the average value of anyone leaving the casino is same as what one starts with, the percentage times someone becomes bankrupt is much higher visit web page 50%.
Also, if you increase the number of games, the percentage times someone becomes bankrupt increases.
On your lucky days, you can win as much as you can possibly win, and Casino will never stop you saying that Casino is now bankrupt.
So in this biased game between you and Casino, for a non-rigged game, both you and Casino has the expected value of no gain no loss.
But you have a lower bound and Casino has no lower bound.
So, to pull the expected value down, c blackjack game tutorials high number of people like you have to become bankrupt.
Let us validate this theory through a simuation using the previously defined functions.
Clearly the bankruptcy rate and maximum earning seem correlation.
What it means is that the more games you play, your probability of becoming bankrupt and becoming a millionaire both increases simultaneously.
So, if it is not your super duper lucky day, you will end up loosing everything.
Imagine 10 people P1, P2, P3, P4 ….
P10 is most lucky, P9 is second in line….
P1 is the most unlucky.
Next in line of bankruptcy is P2 and so on.
In no time, P1 and P2 would rob P3.
Casino is just a medium to redistribute wealth if the games are fair and not rigged, which we have already concluded is not the case.
Insight 4 — The more games you play, the chances of your bankruptcy and maximum amount you can win, both increases for a fair game which itself is a myth.
Is there a way to control for this bankruptcy in a non-bias game?
What if we make the game fair.
Now this looks fair!
Let us run the same simulation we ran with the earlier strategy.
Again mathematician style — Hence Proved!
The Bankruptcy rate clearly fluctuates around 50%.
You can decrease it even further if you cap your earning at a lower % than 100%.
But sadly, no one can cap their winning when they are in Casino.
And not stopping at 100% makes them more likely to become bankrupt later.
Insight 5 — The only way to win in a Casino is to decide the limit of winning.
On your lucky day, you will actually win that limit.
If you do otherwise, you will be bankrupt even in your most lucky day.
Exercise 1 Level : Low — If you set your higher limit of earning as 50% instead of 100%, at what % will your bankruptcy rate reach a stagnation?
Exercise 2 Level : High — Martingale is a famous betting strategy.
The rule is simple, whenever you loose, you make the bet twice of the last bet.
Once you win, you come back to the original minimum bet.
You win 3 games and then you loose 3 games and finally you win 1 game.
For such a betting strategy, find: a.
If the expected value of winning changes?
Does probability of winning changes at the c blackjack game tutorials of a series of game?
Is this strategy any better than our constant value strategy without any upper bound?
Talk about bankruptcy rate, expect value at the end of series, probability to win more games, highest earning potential.
High number of matches can be as high as 500, low number of matches can be as low as 10.
Exercise 3 Level — Medium — For the Martingale strategy, does it make sense to put a cap on earning at 100% to decrease the chances of bankruptcy?
Is this strategy any better than our constant value strategy with 100% upper bound with constant betting?
Talk about bankruptcy rate, expect value at the end of series, probability to win more games, highest earning potential.
End Notes Casinos are the best place to apply concepts of mathematics and the worst place to test these concepts.
As most of the games are rigged, you will only have fair chances to win while playing against other players, in games like Poker.
If there was one thing you want to take away from this article before entering a Casino, that will be always fix the upper bound to %earning.
You might think that this is against your winning streak, however, this is the only way to play a level game with Casino.
I hope you enjoyed reading this articl.
If you use these strategies next time you visit a Casino I bet you will find them extremely helpful.
If you have any doubts feel free to post them below.

In this Premium Tutorial, we'll be building an amazing BlackJack game from scratch using Flash and AS3.
Step 1: Brief Overview Using the Flash drawing tools we'll create a good looking graphic interface that will be powered by several ActionScript 3 classes.
The user will be able to bet against the cpu and play based on the randomly generated cards.
Step 2: Document Settings Open Flash and create a 320 pixels this web page, 480 pixels tall document.
Set the Frame rate to 24fps.
Step 3: Interface A colorful nice looking interface will be displayed, stand blackjack split hit involves multiple shapes, buttons, bitmaps and more.
Continue to the next steps to learn how to create this GUI.
Step 4: Poker Shapes We'll need to create or get the shapes of the poker cards in order to create the cards, an easy way to do it is using a font.
You can convert them to MovieClips to handle them easily.
Step 5: Main Screen This is the Main Screen or view, it will be the first graphic to appear in our game, continue to the next step to begin its creation.
Step 6: Background Create a 320x480px rectangle and fill it with the following radial gradient: 2c753d, 3b9d52.
Using the rectangle tool and the poker shapes we created before, we'll form a pattern to make our background look better.
Duplicate the pattern and arrange it in order to cover the full background gradient.
You can either convert your background to a single Graphic and center it or use the Flash export menu to get a sliced png image.
I used the png option and came up with something like this: Convert the final graphic to MovieClip and name it bg.
For c blackjack game tutorials Main View we'll use a black gradient on top of this background, duplicate the green gradient, change the color to black and the alpha values to 0, 70.
Step 7: Title Select the Text Tool Tselect a good looking font to write your game title and apply this radial gradient: a08c66, f6e7be.
Convert the text to MovieClip and apply the next filter: You can also add a poker shape as a detail: Step 8: Tooltip The tooltip will show the user an instruction in the Main View.
Create a 84x23px rounded rectangle and fill it with a 000000 to 333333 gradient, change its corner radius to 6.
Duplicate the shape and flip it vertically, change its size to 80x18px and center it in the last shape.
Use the Polystar Tool to create a triangle and place it on the bottom center of the actual shape.
Lastly, add a TextField T and center it.
Step 9: Chips Time for the Chips.
Start with a simple black circle and use the Line Tool N to create a dashed white circle inside: Use the Rectangle Tool to create a plus symbol and use it to decorate the chip.
You can also add a logo or any other graphic to the center of the chip.
A white chip will be used as well, just change the black shapes to white and vice versa.
Step 10: Info Button The info button will call the About View when clicked.
Create a 16x16px white circle and change its alpha to 15%.
Use the Text Tool T to write an italic i.
Convert the shapes to Button and name it infoButton.
Step 11: Cards cardback Use the Rectangle Primitive Tool to create a 66x86px, 858D8F shape and change the corner radius to 16.
Duplicate the shape and reduce its size by 4 pixels, apply this gradient: FFFDFC, DCDDDF.
Convert the graphics to MovieClip and use the drop shadow filter we used before in the title.
Use the corresponding poker shape and center it in the card.
Duplicate the shape and use the Text Tool T to create a static textfield in the top-left corner.
Repeat this process with the cards needed, and use the Export Image feature in Flash to create the cards in png format.
Save the cards in a folder called images.
Remember to give them an easy and descriptive name to facilitate the loading.
I've used two letters, the first letter of the card shape and the number.
Step 12: About Screen The About Screen will show the credits, year and copyright of the game.
It will be pretty simple to create as we already have all the elements used in it.
Step 13: Game Screen This is the Game View, it uses the original light green background and a bottom bar that shows the bets and balance.
Two Dynamic TextFields are used, balance and bet.
There is also a button named stayButton, which will make the game stop and perform the card tests.
Step 14: Card Counter A tooltip-like graphic will display the actual c blackjack game tutorials of the player while the same graphic will show a?
Use the tooltip graphics to create a 30x24px box, create a dynamic textfield just click for source name it n.
Convert them to MovieClip and mark the Export for ActionScript box, set the class name to CardCounter.
Step 15: Bet Panel The Bet Panel will display the information about vegas strip dollar 5 blackjack on bets.
The player is able to bet in multiples of 100 and 500.
Convert the objects to a single MovieClip and mark the Export for ActionScript box, set the class name to BetPanel.
Step 16: Alert Screen This screen will appear when the game has been decided, ether you win, lose or you reach game over when the player loses all basic blackjack chart chips.
A Dynamic TextField is used in this view it will display the state in which the game is.
This TextField is called txt, and it is inside the black box named messageBox.
Convert the group of graphics to a MovieClip and mark the Export for ActionScript box; set the class name to AlertScreen.
This ends the graphics part, let the ActionScript start!
Step 17: New ActionScript Class Create a new Cmd + N ActionScript 3.
Step 18: Tween Nano We'll use a different tween engine from the default included c blackjack game tutorials flash, this will increase performace as well as being easier to use.
You can download Tween Nano from its.
Step 19: Package The package keyword allows you to organize your code into groups that can be imported by other scripts, its recommended to name c blackjack game tutorials starting with a lowercase letter and use intercaps for subsequent words for example: myClasses.
It's also common to name them using your company's website: com.
In this example, we're using a single class, so there isn't really a need to create a classes folder.
Elastic; Step 21: Class Declaration Here we declare the class using the class definition keyword followed by the name that we want for the class, remember that you have to save the file using this name.
The extends keyword defines a class that is a subclass of another class.
The subclass inherits all the methods, properties and functions, that way we can use them in our class.
It calls the necessary functions c blackjack game tutorials start the game.
Check those functions in the next steps.
} Step 24: Set Vectors Value In the constructor function, we set the values of the vectors c blackjack game tutorials before.
It uses 11, 12, and 13 as J, Q, and K.
It also calls the function that will show the bet panel.
The following lines handle that.
The white chip will add 100 to the bet and the black one will add 500.
The startGame function is called in this code.
Step 34: Card Counter The loadCounter function will add the CardCounter instances and place them in the correct position.
The values are obtained from the score variables.
The player will be able to request another card by double-clicking the background.
The following code handles that function.
It will reveal the dealer's score and call the function that will check both scores.
The following function adds the necessary listeners to handle those controls.
A parameter is used to know if the listeners will be added or removed.
If the isNewGame variable is true, the balance will also be reset.
If you don't know how to use it or are a bit confused link read this.
Conclusion The final result is a colorful and entertaining game.
Try customizing it -- what about a port to a mobile device?

And not yet a winner winner is a flag.
How much would you like to bet?
Each hand has their own bet get or set?
Each hand is its own "play".
The part I am working on now is the split function.
Whenever there are two identical cards, a split can occur.
I was thinking that having a bool splitChecker variable could help in determining whether or not the two cards match, except I run into a problem.
This is the function that runs the game and contains the splitChecker Variable - displayPlayerHand ; As you can probably blackjack edge, it only checks the value of the card and not the face.
I was wondering how I could compare two strings the ones that determine only card value c blackjack game tutorials not the suits.
I was thinking something along the lines of isolating only the Face Cards and checking if the face cards are the same.
Though I am having a bit of trouble actually figuring out how to do this.
As for the actual running of the https://microrcracing.com/blackjack/european-blackjack-online-free.html function also called in the previous function codeI've not been able to test this out properly yet.
But I was thinking that when the function is called, a new structure can be created which will store the values of the split hand.
Then, the new hand is sent to the previous function again from split ; c blackjack game tutorials displayPlayerHand ; - like indirect recursion.
That way, the split hand structure would be processed as a normal hand would.
If more splits are possible, the split function would be called again and again, creating new c blackjack game tutorials and sending these new c blackjack game tutorials to the previous function that handles gameplay.
I am wondering if I am in the right track?
I'll keep trying to fix up the issues I can't figure out, but any help will be greatly appreciated.
This post has been edited by PhantomLegend: 11 December 2008 - 04:28 PM You must goto devry or something, Ive got my old code for the program on the other computer Ill take a look at it and I will get back to you.
I think what I'm looking for is a way to compare strings in character arrays maybe a for loop iterating through each array element comparing the characters.
I think that could work in solving my first issue - face cards being considered the same since right now I have a check for only values and face top blackjack sites are all a value of 10.
That was issue number 1.
Number 2 is c blackjack game tutorials indirect recursion I currently have setup with the functions displayPlayerHand and split.
I'll keep trying to fix these issues on my own, but I'd really appreciate any help.

For starters I am older than 25 and I had no prior coding or formal computer engineering education prior to last year.
I was embarrassingly bad at coding at the beginning of last click />Like, I could barely get past the compiling stage of a "Hello World!
However, I took some computer engineering courses during the course of 2018 along with a full load of courses at my university and assembly was highly emphasized towards the very end with Verilog being emphasized in the beginning.
Well, here I am today with my first piece of code that goes to about 200 lines and it actually does something cool.
It feels good man.
If you have a hard time teaching yourself then I recommend attending a community college or university level program.
There is something about being coerced into doing something that will make you better.
Just thought I'd share because I have been lurking for a while.
Actually much longer than 200 after I spruced it up a bit.
Don't be stealin my code for your own school assignment!
I'm currently in an introductory elementary programming class.
Please, tell me what you think and if you have c blackjack game tutorials questions!
For example, a sample serial program with the challenge to parallelize it.
Would prefer to have resources that focus on C or python.
Sorry if my post sucks, first time posting.
Then I have to take the numbers from the reports that I print out and plug them into an excel sheet.
I have always wanted to find out a way to print all the reports that I need for that specific day at the push of one single button.
I have no idea how to do this, I assume it is quite complicated if it is even possible.
Does anyone know how this could be done?
Btw I am a noob at programming but I would love to find out how to automate this to make my job easier and less time consuming.
I have just finished college and join a tech company as an intern.
I have seen a few people here reading books on design patterns mainly Head First Design Patterns.
Throughout the college I never heard about these books or the concept of design patterns the most commonly used terms were data structures, algorithms, database, machine learning but they seem to be very popular.
I want to know what purpose they serve in industrial importance or for personal learning or anything else, if and when to read them etc.?
I have c blackjack game tutorials learning programming for the last year and a half and I can already say that I am comfortable with PHP as a beginner, MVC, OOP, PDO, they are concepts that I already understand, at least at a basic level.
I have also taken my first steps in Laravel building a complete CRUD application.
I have received some job offers and they always include "REST API" as requirements.
What do you recommend me to learn about this topic?
Also Ethical hacking but for my own interest and not necessarily for my professional career.
I'm obviously not going to do them all at the same time or quickly, but they are all ten dollars each right now and I don't want to miss this deal.
I was wondering if any of these were any good or if anyone had any other suggestions?
I do have some experience with web development and programming but I https://microrcracing.com/blackjack/what-is-house-edge-in-craps.html like I need to go back to the beginning and polish my skills.
Any additional information would be really helpful and appreciated.
I've tried to follow a lot of youtube instructions on how to do it but still, the graphics.
The only thing I know will work is to do graphics programming in Turbo C but I dont really like it as an editor since it looks archaeic plus its not as user friendly as codeblocks.
What are my options?
How can C blackjack game tutorials make it so that the only way the code is pushed is through a gate, i.
When I get better at programming, I will probably expand this project into some sort of app that contains multiple card games.
I'd like some feedback on the readability, cleanliness, and structuring of my code.
Any other feedback is welcome, of course.
YouTube Channel - I have also added a couple of other video series like Web Scraping, creating GUI.
Feel free to check them out.
So I'm working on a project and would like to know how to throw an exception for cin when the input is more then 2 values.
I read on stackoverflow that you can use the setw to limit the number of values inputted, but I'm not sure how to set up a condition using an if statement for that.
I've included all of my code in the link below: submitted by Posted: 02 Mar 2019 11:26 PM PST I picked up programming again after a few year hiatus.
Been enjoying it and just completed my first super basic project and got it up onto a GitHub page even.
I wrote a program c blackjack game tutorials C that would accept a hard coded ID number and PIN to login.
If the user incorrectly logged in more than 3 times it would timeout the user for 5 seconds.
Once logged in then they could deposit, withdraw, or exit.
Eventually I'm thinking about adding a GUI but for now this is enough.
The code design was mostly what I was asking about because I would like to keep it well organized.
What are good practices for keeping everything nice looking and readable?
I know readability is one of the most important for what makes code 'good'.
What kind of things would you suggest to me?
What would you change about this?
Perfect practice makes perfect.
Here is the GitHUB for my project.
Can be a tutorial videos, exercises, online courses etc.
Thanks submitted by Posted: 02 Mar 2019 08:49 AM PST Currently, I have been doing some simple coding related to SQL and C.
I have created this a registration form which will store the data, username and password, in an SQLite database.
Add new SQLiteParameter " Username", username ; cmd.
Add new SQLiteParameter " Password", password ; cmd.
The user information can be used to login but it does not show within the table, which is viewed using DB Browser for SQLite.
However, if I go view that very data in the DB browser the data doesn't show even after refreshing the table.
AddWithValue new SQLiteParameter " Username", txtBoxUsername.
Then I realised that they had not used the new SQLiteParameter part and so I removed it cmd.

Now I don't know read more to do, so I am asking for your help.
The database within the folder shows the added data.
I have been learning a lot on the job, but I am looking for some good resources to expedite my learning.
I am really excited by learn more here job, and I am really enjoying software development.
Hopefully one day I am good at it.
I am doing web development.
Our team is small, so I am hoping to develop a skill set that lets be become a full stack developer.
Some technologies we are using.
Angular, SQL Server, and most of our work is done in C.
Thanks in advance it is appreciated!
Can someone walk me through this?
I am trying to create a function for an affine cipher that takes the input from a frequency analysis of the english language p1, p2 and a frequency analysis of the cipher text C1, C2 and the alphabet lenght AL and it calculates the multiplicative and additive keys needed to decipher the cipher text.
Here are two pictures from the textbook explaining the math behind calculating the multiplicative and additive keys from a cipher text but my implementation of this math in Python isn't working.
Here is my code: def ModInverse a, m : if gcd a, m!
Here is a barebones version of my code.
There has to be something else that I am doing wrong.
I know I am doing something wrong but I am not sure what.

Step 2: Document Settings Open Flash and create a 320 pixels wide, 480 pixels tall document.
Set the Frame rate to 24fps.
Step 3: Interface A colorful nice looking interface will be displayed, this involves multiple shapes, buttons, bitmaps and more.
Continue to the next steps to learn how to create this GUI.
Step 4: Poker Shapes We'll need to create or get the shapes of the poker cards in order to create the cards, an easy way to do it is using a font.
You can convert them to MovieClips to handle them easily.
Step 5: Main Screen This is the Main Screen or view, it will be the first graphic to appear in our game, continue to the next step to begin its c blackjack game tutorials />Step 6: Background Create a 320x480px rectangle and fill it with the following radial gradient: 2c753d, 3b9d52.
Using the rectangle tool and the poker shapes we created before, we'll form a pattern to make our c blackjack game tutorials look better.
Duplicate the pattern and arrange it in order to cover the full background gradient.
You can either convert your background to a single Graphic and center it or use the Flash export menu to get a sliced png image.
I used the png option and came up with something like this: Convert c blackjack game tutorials final graphic to MovieClip and name it bg.
For the Main View we'll use a black gradient on top of this background, duplicate the green gradient, change the color to black and the alpha values to 0, 70.
Use the Polystar Tool to c blackjack game tutorials a triangle and place it on the bottom center of the actual shape.
Lastly, add a TextField T and center it.
Step 9: Chips Time for the Chips.
Start with a simple black circle and use visit web page Line Tool N to create a dashed white circle inside: Use the Rectangle Tool to create a plus symbol and use it to decorate the chip.
Repeat this c blackjack game tutorials with the cards needed, c blackjack game tutorials use the Export Image feature in Flash to create the cards in png format.
Step 14: Card Counter A tooltip-like graphic will display the actual score of the player while the same graphic will show a?
Use the tooltip graphics to create a 30x24px box, create a dynamic textfield and name it n.
Convert them to MovieClip and mark the Export for ActionScript box, set the class name to CardCounter.
Step 15: Bet Panel The Bet Panel will display c blackjack game tutorials information about the bets.
The player is able to bet in multiples of 100 and 500.
Convert the objects to a single MovieClip and mark the Export for ActionScript box, set the class name to BetPanel.
Step 16: Alert Screen This screen will appear when the game has been decided, ether you win, lose or you reach game over when the player loses all the chips.
A Dynamic TextField is used in this view click at this page will display the state in which the game is.
Step 18: Tween Nano We'll use a different tween engine from the default included in flash, this will increase performace as well as being easier to professional video />You can download Tween Nano from its.
Step 19: Package The package keyword allows you to organize your code into groups that can be imported by other scripts, its recommended to name them starting with a lowercase letter and use intercaps for subsequent words for example: myClasses.
It calls the necessary functions to start the game.
Check those functions in the next steps.
} Step 24: Set Vectors Value In the constructor function, we set the values of the vectors declared before.
The $5 blackjack in atlantic city function adds the necessary listeners to handle those controls.
A parameter is used to know if the listeners will be added or removed.
If the isNewGame variable is true, the balance will also be reset.
If you don't know how to use it or are a bit confused please read this.
Conclusion The final result is a colorful and entertaining game.
Try customizing it -- what about a port to a mobile device?
